Something I used to love was a good Colourpop order. Though recently I’ve been making myself wait a while in-between orders. I just don’t need to be buying makeup as often as I used to. Recently they had some sales for Black Friday and decided there was no better time to make an order.

If there's one reason for this Colourpop order it was one of their newest releases. The No Filter Foundation Stix. I myself am not that big a fan of the original no filter foundation. I don’t think it’s as good as you’d want a foundation to be. Though I have been hearing some pretty good things about the stick formula and decided to give it a go. I don’t use stick foundations that much these days but do sometimes like to use them as they are quite easy to apply. I went for the shade light 40N, which I chose using the shade matcher they have on their website. From having a quick swatch it looks like it will be a good shade for me and I can’t wait to test it out.

One item from Colourpop that I can’t seem to do my makeup without is the Sheer Pressed Powder in fair. Every time I’m doing an eyeshadow look I have to set my eye base with this powder. There’s no other powder that works as well for this step in my opinion. In saying that I use this powder enough that it was time to order a backup. As it’s a sheer powder it’s not too heavy on the eyelids and is perfect for setting the base in place.

Colourpop has some of my favourite palettes, both shadow and magnetic. I own a couple of their magnetic palettes and love them. Though I thought it was about time that I picked up a new small palette. There’s not too much I can say about this magnetic palette. I do love the pattern on this and think it looks a lot nicer than my plain white palette. I’m hoping this will make me want to use my colourpop single shadows more.

We all know Colourpop for their affordable makeup. But these days they're also known for their great affordable eyeshadow palettes. Whilst I was having a look through their site I kept going back to look at a couple of palettes. Some of those being the Bretman Rock palettes, one of which i decided to pick up. I went for the Lit palette which out of the two palettes available was the one that looked more like my kind of colours. I like that this palette is different from other palettes colourpop has in the sense that it’s an 8 pan. I think it’s a nice change from the 9 and 12 pans they commonly have. One thing I will say is I did think the shades were going to be more warm toned than they look. They’re definitely more on the purple side, but I don’t mind that at all. I see myself using this palette a lot.

When it comes to collaborations Colourpop have some great ones. One of those being with Kathleen Lights, one of my favourite people on YouTube. For some reason it took me until this order to pick up something from her Zodiac collection. I went for the lux lipstick in What’s Your Sign?. This shade just looked like it would be a nice nude shade on my skin tone and that’s exactly what it is. I’ve already tried it on the lips and it looks amazing. Nothing more I could say.

Blushes are something Colourpop does well. Something I do love from the brand. I decided it was about time I picked up a new shade, Excuse My French. It looks like a nice peachy shade which is exactly they kind of shades I go for. There's not much I have to say about this blush. I love the formula and the shade looks like something I'll be using a lot.

One thing I’ve been wanting to try from Colourpop for a while is their Precision Brow Pencil. I just never got around to purchasing it till now. I’ve heard mixed reviews about these brow pencils but I have high hopes. I went for the shade Dope Taupe which is the perfect shade for me. It looks promising and I’ll let you know how I feel about it once I’ve had a good try with it.

Last thing I got in this order is the F1 Powder Brush. I’ve been looking for the perfect sized powder brush for quite some time and it looks like this might just be the one. I'm quite picky with my powder brushes. The ones I own are either too big or too dense for my liking. This one looks like it might be perfect for what I need. It's the right size and is as fluffy as I would like a powder brush to be. Excited to give this one a go.

I’d love to know if you’ve picked anything new up from Colourpop recently. I'd also love to know what you think of the things I purchased for myself.

Until next time…
