As most of you probably know by now Sephora is having it's twice yearly 20% off sale. This is one sale I enjoy as 20% off is pretty decent when it comes to expensive makeup. I always take advantage of this sale and have done so this year two different ways, both in-store and online. In this post I will be going through everything I purchased whilst at Sephora and once my online order arrives I will be doing another haul featuring all that goodness.
One thing I both like and don't like about the sale is I can justify buying things I normally wouldn't or have been putting off purchasing in the hopes a sale was coming, which it did. Another things is when you mix it with Afterpay, that makes it easy to spend all this money but hard cause I forget how much I have to pay off over the next couple of months.
This time around I went in to store with a list of things I was thinking about getting. The first thing which was something I'd been wanting for a while now is the IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection brush. I'd seen Patrick Ta use this on Shay Mitchel in a youtube video and ever since then I had been wanting to pick it up. It's a dual ended brush with one end for concealer and one for foundation or even maybe powder. I'm going away later this month and already know this brush is going to make it a little easier for me. I'm yet to use this or any of the things I got but I will update you on instagram in the future on what I think.
Something I had no intentions on buying was the BeautyBlender nude. I had considered getting it online but decided to get something else instead, but seeing as I was in-store and Sephora was sold out of something I was planning on buying I decided to just purchase it anyway. I've been a big fan of BeautyBlenders for quite some time but after discovering the Eco Tools sponge last year I just never got around to getting a new one. I think it's going to be good now having a couple of different sponges as I can always have one that's actually clean.
On to actual makeup I picked up a couple of things. One is the Nudestix Lip & Cheek Pencil in the shade whisper. I heard Kathleen Lights talk about this in a youtube video not too long ago and had been wanting it ever since, but I either didn't have the money for it or it was sold out so seeing it in store yesterday I just had to get it. I think this is going to become a lip product I really like as the whole lip crayon idea makes it easy to apply and I think it will end up in my handbag at some point soon.
Sticking with lip products something I love is the Sephora Collection Rouge Gel Lip Liners. The shade 'the nudest' is quite possibly my favourite nude lip liner ever so decided to pick up the other nude shade 'nothing but nude' this is a slightly darker more brown/pink nude than the other shade which is a more cool toned pink nude. I think this is going to become a go-to lipliner for me when I'm looking for something slightly darker, I love these Rouge Gel lipliners as they are very much creamy and easy to apply to the lips. I also like that these twist up so there's no sharpening involved which makes it so much easier for me to use. Definitely already know I want to try even more shade already.
The last item for this haul is something I didn't even know was sold at Sephora in Australia. I'm talking about the Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation. I'd been wanting to try this for quite some time but didn't really want to purchase it online so when I saw them in store I could not pass up on getting it. A good tip for buying foundation if your someone like me who doesn't like talking to people is check the website findation which tells you what your shade match is based on foundation shades you already wear. That helped me pick the shade Warm Porcelain and from swatching it against another foundation I already use I know it's a pretty good match. I've been really enjoying stick foundations recently and hope that this one lives up to the hype and that I like it as it would be a great foundation to travel with. I should hopefully have a review up on this in the near future.
So that was all I got in-store during the Sephora sale.
Until next time...
