Colourpop Haul

I’ve been telling myself recently that I need to try and stop buying makeup, at least until I’m on holidays but things like Colourpop releasing new concealer shades makes me want to spend money on makeup, and that’s just what I did. I made a colourpop order a couple of weeks back and it has finally arrived and now it’s time I thought I would share with you what I got.
The main purpose behind this order was to get a couple of the new concealer shades. I already love the Colourpop concealers but found even the lightest shade wasn’t light for me. So when they announced the new shades which included 5 new fair shades I just had to get a couple. I ended up getting two of the fair 00 shade which is the white concealer. This will be perfect for mixing in with other concealers I have that are slightly to dark for me. Just like how I love lightening drops for my foundation I’m hoping I like this concealer just as much. Then the other concealer I got was the shade 0.2. I have a feeling I probably could have gotten a shade up. This is the lightest concealer besides the white and even though I am fair this may be a little too light. I’m going to have to try it out to see what I think, but I’ll still get use out of it somehow.
Along with the concealers I just had to get some other things, more so I could make the free shipping but also because I always find things I want to try. The first of these other items is actually a repurchase of the Brow Boss Brow Gel. This is hands down one of my favourite brow gels ever. It just sets the brows in place perfectly and gives them a bit of texture which makes them look naturally thick. One thing I will say about this brow gel is it’s white, but once it’s applied just tapping over it with fingers takes away the colour and helps set it in place.
One thing I’ve always wanted to try from Colourpop is the Ultra Blotted Lips. The reason why I hadn’t tried these before is because I couldn’t find a shade a truly liked, that is until the collab with My Life Is Eva came out. Eva created a blotted lip in the shade Love Bit which I fell in love with and just had to add to my cart. It’s the perfect shade that I think will go with many different makeup looks and maybe I’ll even wear it on days I haven’t got makeup on.
Keeping on with the theme of lips I finally got one of their Lux Lipsticks. I went for the shade stone fox. I’m not usually the biggest fan of lipstick but the stone fox shade looked pretty good and I thought why not get it. The lipsticks are such a good price that I just couldn’t pass it up. Again another nude like shade which I think will again go with so many different makeup looks.
Another one of the recent releases I picked up was the Superstar Loose Eyeshadow in the shade typhoon. I was actually looking at getting one of the loose highlights but the shade I wanted was sold out so I thought I’d try one the loose eyeshadows instead. This shade will be perfect for all over the lid or even as a highlight on the inner corner and brow bone. I may even be able to get away with it as a highlight on my face, I just might have to test that out.
Lastly I decided to get another one of the brushes. I have a couple of them already and they are such good quality for the affordable price. This time I went for the blush brush. I already have a couple of brushes in this kind of style but thought I would try this one out as I do really enjoy this style of brush and not for just blush. I enjoy these kinds of brushes a lot for applying my bronzer as well. I think I’m really going to enjoy using this brush.
So that's all I got this time around. Though I'm hoping I can wait a while till my next order.
