March is over and April is upon us. Times has honestly flown by the past month. With the month over it is time for me to share some of the things I was loving last month, there’s a mix of skincare and makeup. I’m also going to bring back my moment and music faves that I used to do as something different to add on at the end.
In March I purchased some new makeup and found some new favourites but also rediscovered something as well. For the rediscovery that I fell back in love with it’s the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation Stick. I purchased this just about over a year ago and completely forgot about it for some tine. I used it earlier this month when I was going to a concert and my makeup help up so well and it made me realise how much I truly love this foundation. I find stick foundations to be the easy option some days as they don’t take too much effort to apply and blend but give such perfect coverage at the same time. Though one thing I have found with this foundation that I’m not the biggest fan of is that it really needs to be set down and that takes some time. Unlike some other foundation that I can set lightly this one I have to set a little more or the base is still sticky which isn’t great when wanting to apply powders on top. But this has been my go-to for the last couple of weeks and has reignited my love with stick foundations.
There is one skincare item I just had to mention this month. The Cinch Face Cheat Moisture and Glow is one of the newest additions to my skincare routine and I love it. So even though it is marketed as a moisturiser, it’s also marketed as a primer, pore refiner and illuminator in one. This is the moisturiser I have been using before I do my makeup and sometimes not even going over with a primer. It keeps my makeup on for a long time whilst also givingly skin some of the moisture it needs. I also have been applying a bit of the Prep Spray from Urban Decay at times to help it prime which has become a great combo. Definitely something worth checking out if you’re in to your multi-purpose products.
Sticking to the base I have a new favourite loose powder. After hearing so many good things about the Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Loose Setting Powder I decided to give it a go and have been loving it ever since. These last couple of months I have been really in to using loose powder to set my whole face and this one from Too Faced does such a great job. It has that ethereal glow to it which makes the skin look amazing. It’s also perfect for the under-eye area on me where I tend to be a bit dryer. Though I will say it’s not exactly translucent it works for me.
There’s one blush I have been going back to this past month. It is a more recent release from Maybelline in Australia. The new Fit Me blushes released sometime over the last couple of months and when I saw the shade Coral I just knew I had to have it. I love the shade of blush. It’s perfect for nearly every makeup look I do. It’s the perfect amount of a subtle coral sheen on the cheeks. The packaging is also quite small which I love as I know I will definitely be traveling with this blush in the future. I think these new Fit Me blushes are without a doubt worth checking out and at least just have a swatch of in store.
Last beauty favourite for March is the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions palette. I have this and the Warm Browns palette and I love them both so much but the Mauve had to be mentioned. I’m not really someone for any eyeshadows that aren’t neutral or warm towns but this palette has got me back in to loving mauve tones. It has some perfect matte and shimmer shades that perfectly fit a mauve palette. I especially love the lightest of the metallic shades all over the lid for a full glam look. The Obsessions palettes are perfect for travel as well. Small enough that they don’t take up too much room.
For the music faves of march I have a couple of songs I want to mention. First being Want You Back by 5 Seconds of Summer. Something you may not know is I love 5SOS. They’re one of my favourite bands ever and this song is amazing. It’s so catchy and the perfect song to listen to.
The two other music faves come from Shawn Mendes who released the first two songs from the third album. In My Blood and Lost In Japan. I love these both for different reasons. In My Blood because you can really here the passion Shawn had put in to the song and the story it tells, whilst also being about to relate to it so well. And then Lost In Japan I love cause it’s so incredibly catchy and amazing. Such a different vibe from Shawn on this one and it makes me excited to see what else will be coming from him in the future.
As for the moment fave for this month, I could say seeing Ed Sheeran, but I feel like everyone went and saw him. Instead my favourite moment of the past month would be having the chance to see Dua Lipa. I had been waiting for the moment since her album released last year, and then when she announces the Australian dates last year I was so excited. Her vocals and songs are amazing and getting to witness it in person was the best thing ever.
So those were the things I had been loving this past month. I hope you enjoyed and I’d love to hear what you were loving.
Until Next Time…
