It’s been sometime since I’ve gone through my makeup collection and shared what some of my favourite products are. That's going to be the focus of this post. There's a couple of makeup bits that I've been really enjoying over the past couple of months and you can read about them below.
Too Faced, Dew You Foundation
Too Faced make my absolute favourite foundation, Born This Way. Buy earlier this year the dropped their Tutti Frutti collection in Australia. I was looking forward to trying the Dew You Foundation and have been loving it ever since. It’s not something I use every time I do my makeup. I’m not always going for that dewy glow on the skin, but when I am this is the foundation for me. For a dewy foundation I like that it doesn’t leave the face looking oily, like some have done in the past. It has pretty decent coverage and great staying power on the skin, when used with the right primer. It’s just been a go-to base for me recently and I highly recommend it.
Maybelline Lash Boosting Serum
Lash serum is something I only really got in to this year and I’ve been loving it. I currently own two different serums and love them both. But it’s the Maybelline one that’s I’ve seen a change with. Lash serums are typically made for helping your lashes grow longer and fuller and I’ve seen that with the Maybelline serum. I find whenever I put mascara on my lashes look a little big longer than I remember. I don’t know about them looking fuller. I think in that aspect they look the same. But none the less I love this serum. I’m also currently trialing the Loreal serum to see if it’s any better, so I’ll keep you updated on that one.
Nars Orgasm Blush
I feel like I’m really late to the orgasm blush bandwagon, but I love it. I got it as part of my last BeautyLoop Box and have been using it non-stop ever since. It has become the go-to blush for me. The colour looks perfect on the cheeks. I just can’t explain it besides that I know I love it. It’s also mini which makes it great for traveling with.
Zoella x Colourpop Brunch Date Palette
I love Zoe Sugg, more commonly known as Zoella. I have been watching her on youtube for years. When I first saw she was coming out with a Colourpop collection I knew I had to get my hands on it. One of the things in the collection was the Brunch Date Eyeshadow Palette. This palette has become a bit of a go-to for me recently. It’s a slight mix between cool tones mauves and a couple of warmer colours. One thing I really do like about this palette is the shimmer shades. They have a lot of pigmentation and look beautiful all over the eyelid.
OFRA Highlighter - Pillow Talk
Over the years of having an instagram and blog I know I’ve said I’ve had a favourite highlighter. One’s that are the perfect formula. But I truly didn’t know how much I’d love one until I tried the OFRA pillow talk highlighter. There’s not one highlight out there that I think is as pigmented and as blinding on the cheeks as this one. Just one tap of a brush in the pan and there’s a blinding glow on the cheeks. It’s just amazing. I have the mini size and I honestly don’t see myself using it up for a long time as you barely need any product to really pack a punch.
Those were all the makeup bit's I've been loving recently. I'd love to know what makeup you've been loving recently.
Until next time...
Brooke
