I love finding makeup that I know I'm going to love. Those products that I know I'm going to keep going back to again and again. These past few months I've been trying some new makeup. In doing so I've found some things that are definitely new favourites in my collection. I thought it was about time I shared some of the products with you. Some of these may even be makeup you already love.
If there was one thing that I'm sure everyone was waiting to come out last year it was the Maybelline Fit! Me Loose Finishing Powder. After hearing so many things from people on Youtube I knew I had to pick it up back when it first released in Australia. It has quite become one of my favourite powders for setting my face, in such a short amount of time. I've found myself using this more than pressed powder, and that's usually the only way I'd set my face. I have mine in the shade fair light. For me it's a pretty good match to my skintone. I will say originally I had wanted to buy this powder for setting the under-eyes. The problem with that is that we don't get the lightest shade in Australia. Though that's the case I love it anyway and definitely recommend checking it out.
There's one blush I haven't seemed to be able to put down in the last couple of months. The L'Oreal Life's a Peach blush is the perfect peachy coloured blush. Peach is my favourite shade when it comes to blush. It looks so natural on the cheeks which is what you'd want from a blush. There's not too much I can say about it besides I use it all the time and it deserves all the hype it can get.
After coming home earlier this month I haven't really wanted to put too much effort in to my eyeshadow looks. One thing that's been helping with this is the Too Faced Sugar Cookie Palette. It's the perfect mini eyeshadow palette. I have a select couple of shades that I'm always going back to. There's three shades I use. Two in the crease and one all over the eyelid. These shades make for an easy but nice makeup look which goes with nearly every kind of face of makeup. It's been my go-to for a little while now and I sure will be using the palette quite a bit as time goes on.
There's one very recent purchase that I just had to include. I have not been much of a brow pomade fan, but that's all changed. I recently purchased the Tattoo Brow from Maybelline. It's their new brow pomade. Since buying it I have not used anything else to fill and shape my brows. With the right application method I've found myself able to get a very natural looking brow. And that's something I usually struggle with. Even though I only recently bought this brow pomade I know I love it. Do go check it out if you haven't already.
There's a lipgloss that I was kindly send at the end of last year and I've found myself using it quite a bit. I'm talking about the Lancome L'absolute Lacquer. I find myself using this on top of lip colours but even on it's own. This lipgloss has such a nice colour to it. It has enough pigmentation that I'm able to wear it on it's own as a bit of a tint to the lips. I just find myself grabbing this out of my makeup draws a lot of the times I've done my makeup recently.
The last thing I've been loving recently is something I feel like not enough people talk about. The Morphe Continuous Setting Mist is the best mist for setting my makeup in place. As it is a continuous mist it's so easy to use. It's a fine mist that doesn't feel heavy on the skin and does a good job at setting my makeup in place.
I'd love to know what you've been loving recently. Trying new makeup has been something I've been doing a lot of recently. I will surely have a new one of these posts up in the next couple of months.
Until next time...
Brooke.
